A Strategic Mascot Designed to Drive Employee Engagement and Reinforce Safety Culture

1. The Branding Challenge: Humanizing Corporate Safety
The primary objective of the Pepsi México project was to transform a standard compliance program into an engaging internal movement. Traditional safety campaigns often feel cold or purely instructional; the challenge was to design a corporate mascot that employees could truly identify with. We needed to bridge the gap between "corporate rules" and "personal commitment," creating a figure that represents Pepsi’s commitment to its people while maintaining a high level of internal brand engagement.

Our team spearheaded a multi-stage creative evolution, beginning with hand-drawn conceptual sketches to explore various character directions. In close collaboration with Pepsi, we refined the selected path through professional digital illustration. We meticulously fine-tuned the character’s "spirit"—adjusting muscle tone, stance, and communication style to strike the perfect balance between authority and friendliness. By placing Capitán G against a signature shield, we created a cohesive visual identity that reinforces the message of protection.
