1. The Branding Challenge: Designing for the Intimate Intersection
The primary objective of the Kotex Daily Liners project was to solve a complex design trifecta. Pantyliners exist at the critical intersection of the intimate female anatomy, the delicate fabrics of modern lingerie, and the rigorous technical requirements of absorption. The challenge was to create a product that felt like a natural extension of a woman’s wardrobe—delicate and discreet—while delivering the reliable performance expected from a global leader like Kimberly-Clark.

2. Our Design Process: Strategic Ergonomics and Performance
Our team directed a product design process that prioritized "Human-Centric Engineering." We moved beyond standard industrial shapes to develop a more feminine and functional design language. We focused on the tactile experience, designing the embossing not just for visual appeal, but as a absorption management system that directs moisture away from the skin. By optimizing the product architecture, we ensured that every millimeter of the liner serves a purpose, balancing the softness of a textile with the precision of a medical-grade absorbent.
Our journey begins with a comprehensive understanding of the project brief, the client's needs, the brand's target audience, and the competitive landscape. Next, the hand sketching and drafting stage allows us to freely explore multiple possibilities and capture a wealth of ideas. This intuitive approach unleashes creativity and enables us to visualize proposals that might not emerge with other design methods.

3. The Outcome: A Category-Defining Daily Protector
The result is a successful product launch that has set a new standard for daily protection. Through Imaginity’s strategic design approach, the new Kotex liners deliver a superior "barely-there" feel that empowers users through comfort and reliability. This project demonstrates our ability to translate deep consumer insights into tangible product innovations, proving that even the most functional items can be transformed through thoughtful, empathetic, and technically sound design.

This feminine care product design for Kotex showcases Imaginity’s expertise in FMCG innovation and ergonomic branding. Consistent with our work in strategic brand identity and high-performance product design, we have helped Kimberly-Clark maintain its position as a pioneer in the global hygiene market.
