Bagóvit Hair Care: Innovation in Structural Bottle Design
When the prestigious pharmaceutical group Bagó decided to extend its Bagóvit personal care brand into the competitive hair care category, they partnered with Imaginity to engineer a unique packaging strategy. Our task was to create a bespoke structural design for their new line of shampoos and conditioners. By blending the brand’s medical heritage with a modern aesthetic, we developed a high-impact FMCG innovation that balances sophisticated visual identity with superior user experience (UX).

Visual Highlights
- Dual-Function "Reversible" Anatomy: A versatile structural design engineered to sit cap-up for shampoo and inverted (cap-down) for conditioner.
- Signature "Drop" Silhouette: The bottle’s profile is inspired by the brand’s iconic "drop" logo, creating a fluid, organic sense of movement.
- Matte White Premium Finish: A soft-touch matte finish that reflects the brand’s pharmaceutical purity and skincare expertise.
- Ergonomic Grip Integration: Soft, curved lines meticulously sculpted to ensure a stable and comfortable grip in wet environments.
- Industrial Precision: 3D modeling and technical blueprints optimized for manufacturing compatibility and leak-proof closure systems.

The Branding Challenge: Strategic Category Extension
The primary objective was to facilitate Bagóvit’s brand architecture expansion into the hair care market with a distinctive physical identity. The challenge was to design a single bottle format that could accommodate five different product varieties while remaining functional in two orientations. We had to ensure the bottle remained stable when inverted, maintained a comfortable grip, and met the strict manufacturing requirements of the personal care industry.

Our Design Process: Market Research and Industrial Modeling
Following an extensive market analysis of dual-function packaging and competitor ergonomics, we began a rigorous product design process. Our team moved from initial sketches to 2D modeling and 3D rendering to refine the "drop" concept. This phase was critical for optimizing the visual balance of the bottle and solving technical specifications for cap compatibility and closure security. The result is a clean, minimalist design that aligns perfectly with Bagóvit’s premium value proposition.

The Outcome: A Category-Defining Packaging Solution
The project resulted in an innovative and modern product design that stands out on the retail shelf. By following the market convention of top-oriented caps for shampoo and bottom-oriented caps for conditioner, we created a smart, intuitive solution for the consumer. The final design not only reinforces Bagóvit's brand equity through the "drop" motif but also provides a unique sensory experience. This project proves that strategic structural design is a powerful tool for successful market entry and long-term brand differentiation.
